Chuck Baldwin, 2008 Constitution Party Presidential Candidate, will be the keynote speaker at a dinner on August 13 in Oklahoma City in support of easing Oklahoma's restrictive ballot access laws. Dr. Baldwin's name did not appear on the Oklahoma ballot and Oklahoma was the only state in the country where voters were limited to merely two choices in the November 2008 Presidential election. The Free & Equal Elections Foundation is hosting the dinner to focus attention on a bill sponsored by Representative Charles Key and Senator Randy Brogdon, HB 1072, which would make Oklahoma's Election Laws more in line with other states and enable voters to have more choices in the ballot box on election day. Oklahoma State Senator Randy Brogdon, sponsor of HB 1072, as well as Christina Tobin of Chicago, the Founder of the Free & Equal Elections Foundation, will also be speaking at the dinner. Here is a link to an article on the Free & Equal Elections website about HB 1072: http://www.freeandequal.org/2009/05/oklahoma-ballot-access-action-alert/ The dinner will be from 6:30 to 9:00 pm and the cost will be $50/person. Space is limited, so contact Thom Holmes before August 10 to reserve your seats at 918-866-2256 or holmesta@hotmail.com The location is the Joyner Room at the Sheraton Hotel/Reed Conference Center in Midwest City, OK. The address is: 5750 Will Rogers Road, Midwest City, OK, phone: 405-455-1800. The hotel and conference center are located at the Sooner Road exit off of Interstate 40, just 4 miles east of downtown Okla City.
